Minister Cora Lee Williams was born August 11, 1934 to the union of the late Henry and Ollie May Davis in Starksville, MS. She departed from this life, at Delta Medical Center, on December 9, 2020 after long term illnesses and surgeries. Cora Davis was married to the Booker T. Williams, Sr. on December 16, 1950. They were married for sixty-eight years, with seven beautiful children.

Minister Cora was devoted to her family, community and the Pilgrim Rest Church Family. Her witness was always evidenced through love, joy, worship, generosity, and caring for others. The common denominator in all that she said and did was the Word of God.

Her children have all known that she was blessed! Her lasting legacy of gifted children are: the late Mr. Oscar Davis, Sr. (Laverne), Mrs. Betty A. Jackson (Dr. Paul), the late Mr. Booker T. Williams, Jr. (Dorothy), Mrs. Virginia Richmond (Gregory), Mr. Calvin Williams (Lynn), Rev. Dr. Bernice Kirkland ( Darryl) and Mrs. Sharon Newell (James). Her pride and joy were her 20 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. Her quiver was full and her offspring continue to tell of her wondrous life.

She is preceded in death by her late husband, Booker T. Williams, Sr.; her parents; Henry and Ollie May Davis; seven brothers: Oscar, Walter. Williams Henry, Buddy, Archie, Sammy and Eddie; six sisters: Laura May Celestine, Ethel D. Johnson, Occie Mae Davis, Geneva Hollingworth, Elnora Wilson and Ollie Mae Givens.
