Clara W. Moore was born January 5, 1947 in Arcola, Mississippi, to the late A.D. and Mary H. Holmes Diggs. She professed her faith in Jesus Christ at an early age at Hyman Chapel M.B. Church in Itta Bena Mississippi and later joined Christ Temple #2 under the leadership of Rev. Willie Dean. She received her general education at Olive Harvey College. In 1964 she married Lieutenant Williams and to that union three children were born and later she was blessed with two more children.
In June of 1988 she was united in holy matrimony to Reverend James Lee Moore, Sr., who at the time was serving as the Senior Pastor of Greater St. Mark M.B. Church where she met her true soul mate. With this union she was blessed with seven additional children, given them a total of twelve children. The two worked side by side at that ministry until God released them to relocate giving them a new assignment where she then became the first lady of three ministries simultaneously, Poplar Grove M.B. Church, Silver Mount M.B. Church and St. Peter M.B. Church. Clara also worked for CEDA for 20 years before retiring and moving to Greenville, Mississippi. In 2011 she received her Bachelor of Biblical Studies from Fresh Word Bible School of Greenville, Mississippi.
Clara enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family. She was a faithful supporter of the Ministerial Alliance and served in the choir as well as on the Benoit Usher's Union. As a result of her generous spirit she was loved by many. She quietly made her departure on Monday, December 31, 2018 at Greenville Community Hospital in Greenville, Mississippi.
