Charles "Chuck" Weeks was born February 26, 1974, to Charles Sumner and Malinda Weeks Sumner. He was a graduate of Drew High School class of 1993 and shortly after graduating he moved to Irving, TX.

Chuck excepted Christ at an early age and joined St. Luke COGIC in Moorhead, MS. He was a "God-fearing man". He served as Deacon of Abundant Life Tabernacle COGIC of Red Oak, TX and Mount Calvary COGIC of Quitman, TX under the leadership of Pastor Juan Bell until his passing.

Our beloved brother departed this life on January 12, 2025. He was preceded in death by his mother Malinda Sumner and his sister Pearlie Walton.

Chuck cared deeply for his family, neighborhood, community and friends. He was well known and loved by all, and never met a stranger, and he kept in contact with everyone. One thing we know for sure Chuck loved his sisters. His sisters were not known by their names but "Chuck Sisters".

He leaves to cherish his memories to his father, Charles Sumner of Drew, MS; five sisters Fannie Durr, Jammie (Travis) Johnson, Ruthie (Carl) Cross, Lawanda Sumner and Malinda (Judge) Sanders; three uncles; Uncle Claud (Diane) of Chicago, IL; Uncle Reginald (Vearllean) Sumner of Lynwood, IL and Uncle Willie Brown of Aurora, IL, two aunts; Earnestine Walker of Dubuque, IA and Clara Sumner of Chicago, IL. Ten nephews, Martavius (Tish) Durr, Adrian (Tina) Durr, Everett (Shaconda) Walton, Avery (Melody) Walton, LaKabrius (Jhema) Sumner, Tevin Sumner, Justin Sumner, Jakeem Sumner, "Lil" Judge Sanders and Jakerrious Sanders; three nieces; Kamea Johnson, Kalisia Sumner and Jadah Sumner and a host of family and friends.
