Obituary

Charles Atkins was born into this world on May 3, 1959 in Gunnison, MS.  He was the fourth of five children born to Rosie Lee Atkins and Willie "Big Bill" Banks.  Charles accepted Christ at an early age at Morning Star M.B. Church under the leadership of Rev. E. B. Brown.

He was preceded in death by his parents Rosie Lee Atkins and Willie "Big Bill" Banks and two brothers Raymond McNeil and O.C. Mayhall.

Charles departed this life on Thursday, September 26, 2024 in Rosedale, MS as he was traveling to his home.  Our heart is heavy with grief, but we know we take comfort in knowing one day we will see you soon.

Charles was married to Grace Price Atkins.  He leaves to cherish a loving daughter, Cassandra Robinson of Gunnison, MS; a sister, Letha McNeil of Cleveland, MS, one (1) brother, John (Mary) Anderson of Riverdale, IL; Four (4) grandchildren, Brittany & Jeff Turner, Jeremiah Robinson & Gregory Usry, Jr.; Three (3) great grandchildren, Nyomi Turner, Kingston Turner & London Turner; an aunt, Josie Myles of Chicago, IL, 6 nieces, 1 nephew and a host of cousins and friends.
