Charles Everett Daniels aka "Chick" one of the world's famous "Hot Tamale Man" was born on April 13, 1949 to the late Mr. Jay Frank and Mrs. Tella Pratt Daniels in Shelby, MS. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.
He received Christ at an early age under the leadership of Rev. J.L. Feather son. He worked at the Cleveland D & L Plant for many years and dedicated his life to helping his mother create a business of selling hot tamales. After her transition, he carried on the family tradition. This business carried on for years and years and brought satisfaction to people near and far.
He was a devoted and loving father, brother and friend to many. He was an outstanding citizen, kind hearted and caring person. He loved to laugh and all of his nieces and nephews called him their favorite uncle. He would help anyone that need help and would do it with a smile.
Chick leaves to cherish his memories his son Lucas(Yolanda), a wonderful granddaughter (Layla), a wonderful grandson ( Mel Mel) two loving sisters that cared for him deeply Gloria(Jesse) whom he stated loved to talk all the time and Earlene who was his partner in the tamale business. He had many nieces and nephews whom never wanted to go home after being with him and a host of family and friends that loved him until eternity. He will be greatly cherished and missed deeply.
