Charlene Robinson was born on September 6, 1951 to the late Leonard and Florida Mae Watson Fipps. She accepted Christ at an early age and was an active member of Pilgrim Rest Church in Winstonville, Mississippi until she became ill.
She graduated from Job Corp in St. Louis, Missouri. After graduating, she returned back to Mound Bayou, Mississippi and later married Levan Robinson. She began her employment with Delta Health Center as a custodian and worked there for many years. She furthered her career at ABB until 2020. She also worked as a seamstress, Foster Parent and took care of the elderly which was her passion.
Charlene departed this life on June 20, 2021 at 8:47 am in Memphis, TN in the loving arms of her oldest daughter, Maria Williams. She was preceded in death by two children: Shasha L. Fipps and Travares Pruitt; father, Leonard Fipps; mother, Florida Mae Fipps; three sisters: Mattie Ruth Croft, Sarah Shanks and Lillie B. Moore; three brothers: Jessie Lee Fipps, Edward James Fipps, and Willie B. Fipps; and a special friend, Wayne Daniels.
She leaves to cherish her memories six children: Maria (Dennis) Williams, Levan Fipps, Jr, Timothy Pruitt, Tasha Love, Patrick Robinson all of Memphis, TN and Vivian Daniels of Southaven, MS; twenty-two grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren; seven siblings: Pearlie Mae Pruitt, Bobbie Jean Fipps, Allice Louise Fipps all of Mound Bayou, MS, Albert Fipps of Tampa, FL, Dorothy (Kelvin) Edwards of SC, Tommie Lee Fipps of Aurora, IL and Brenda Faye Fipps of Shelby, MS; four aunts; one uncle; a special friend, Lonnie Harris; several beloved friends: Charmel Kabee, Patty Williams, Wanda Graham, And Joyce Robinson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
