Catherine T. Walker was born March 29, 1950 to the union of the late Annie Taylor Pulliam Jones and the late Eddie Burns. She was the second child of seven children. Catherine as come to called her, was well know in the community as "Cat."
She confessed a belief in Christ at an early age and joined Old St. Phillips M.B. Church.
She spent her early years in the Pace Community and later moved to Cleveland attending Eastside High School.
On March 22, 2021, she departed from this life at Bolivar Medical Center in Cleveland, Mississippi. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph (Left-Hand Joe) Thomas, Jr., mother, Annie Taylor Pulliam Jones, father, Eddie Burns, brother, Ruben (Lula) Pulliam, sister, Beverly Scott, son, Johnny Walker, Jr., and daughter, Yolanda Walker.
Catherine leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, Joe (Precious) Walker and Cedric Walker both of Cleveland, Mississippi; two daughters, Debra (Cleveland) Robertson of Memphis, TN and Jacqueline Walker of Cleveland, MS; three brothers: Willie (Ora) Taylor of Cleveland, MS, Leroy (Mary) Pulliam of Baton Rouge, LA, and Eddie Burns of Rosedale, MS; three sisters: Roseanna (William) Thompson of Greenwood, MS, Glenda Pulliam of Cleveland, MS, Betty Burns of Rosedale, MS; one aunt, Verline Davis of Memphis, TN; two uncles: Walter C. Taylor of West Memphis, AR and Jerry Taylor of Shelby, MS; 20 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
