Obituary

On May 16,1919, Monroe and Lue Ellen Bruce of Claiborne County, MS became the proud parents to a set of twins, Bessie and Jessie.  Bessie was the third child born to this union.  She was sister to three brothers and three sisters; Hattie, Henry, Jessie, Sam, Gracie and Marie (Bea).  All preceded her in death.

She accepted Christ at a young age in Grace, MS.  She was a lifelong member of Bethlehem MB Church in Grace, MS before moving to Greenville, along with the church under the leadership of Rev. C.B. Smith and now Pastor David Rawls, Sr.  Mother Bessie was a beautiful member ad the oldest Mother of the ministry.  She always tried to attend services, even after her health begin to fail.

Mother Bessie married the love of her life, Louis Peoples and was blessed with eight children through this union:  Louisie Mae, Hilbert, Louis, Jeffrey, Andrew, Frank, Nettie, Thomas and Bennie Peoples.  All preceded her in death except one.

She leaves to cherish her memory: (1) son, Frank Peoples; (1) daughter-n-law, Sherry B. Peoples; (1) sister-n-law, Liz Mays; and a host of grands, great grands, great great grands, nieces & nephews, cousins, church family and friends.
