Obituary

Born to Amelia Ann Grove Williams and Bob Pace, Barbara Ann "Lady" Grove was the seventh of nine children.  Born in Winterville, MS, the family later moved to Lamont, MS in search of a better life.  She accepted Christ at an early age and was a long time member of St. Thomas MB Church.  Barbara attended O'Bannon School and later graduated from Nugent Center.

Barbara excelled at numerous hobbies, but was commonly known for her calm spirit and exceptional culinary skills; serving as a cook in establishments that include Sears, King's Grill, Bessie Taylor Retirement Home, King's Daughter's Hospital, and later retiring from Delta Regional Medical Center.

Barbara was an advocate for all children and young adults.  Her gentle spirit instantly attracted any person that was in need of a word of encourage, setting on the right path of life, or lesson in the kitchen.  Barbara played a major role in the rearing of her nieces, nephews, cousins, and adopted family.

Barbara was proceeded in death by her parents, siblings, Lawrence Williams, Ophelia (Merret) McKinnie, Willie (Doris) Williams, and Bob (Joice) Grove.  She leaves to cherish her memories siblings; Cherrie Primus, Rosie Mae Williams, Henry (Diane) Grove, and Ernestine Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
