Barbara Ross was born July 14, 1963 to the late Gardner "Wolf" Lewis and Annie Ross Lewis in Greenville, MS.

Barbara accepted Christ as her personal savior at a very early age.  She was a member of Old Kindling Altar, M.B. Church.  She attended school until she committed to the care of her mother and worked at Pines Trailer Co. as a welder until her health began to fail.  At the time of her demise, she lived in Gulfport, MS where she was cared for by her devoted niece, Yolanda "Teddy" Mitchell-Joseph. Though she longed to return to Greenville, MS to reunite with family and friends, she passed at her home.

She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.  She was an avid communicator and enjoyed talks on the phone.  She often checked on others and was known for her birthday wishes.  She enjoyed food and was a passionate cook.

Bobbie was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Frank and Annie Pearl Lewis; maternal grandparents, Artie and Albert Minor; and her brother James Ross, Sr.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories; one brother, Gardner (Patricia) Ross of Washington , DC; two (2) nephews:  Quintarus McGowan of Dallas, TX and James (Natalie) Ross, Jr.  of Irving, TX; one niece, Yolanda (Wesley) Mitchell-Joseph of D'iberville, MS; one uncle, Prentiss Minor of Sunbelt, FL; two aunts, Gloria "Jean" Bell of Greenville, MS and Pearlie Mae Young of Starkville, MS; two godsons, Ty'Voris and Taquarius Mickel of St. Paul, MN; a goddaughter, Natasha Eaton of Greenville, MS; a close friend of many years, Katherine Hines; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
