Annie Mae Miller was born on April 23, 1943 to the late Rosie Lee Thomas and adopted by the late Willie Conway. She was preceded in death by both her parents, a daughter, Dorothy Jean Miller, her late husband, S.T. Miller, and her later husband, William Pruitt. Annie Mae was affectionately called "Nana" or "Granny" by her family and friends. Nana loved to sing, and her favorite song was " Christian Automobile". She worked several jobs in her lifetime. She worked as a custodian at Margaret Green Jr. High and H.M. Nailer Elementary Schools in Cleveland, MS, Lincoln Land Community College as a custodian, and a Dietary Aide a the St. Joseph Nursing Home in Springfield, IL until her health failed her.
She departed this life on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at Ascension Seton Williamson Hospital in ROund Rock, Texas. She leaves to cherish her memories, Seven (7) children: J.T. ( Parthenia) Miller of Lincoln, IL; Hayes (Nicole) Miller; Charles Miller; Mark Miller all of Springfield, IL; Rosie Miller of Austin, TX; Bobbie ( Larry Turner) Smith of Cleveland,MS; Vernice (Memory) Baily of Springfield, IL; two(2) stepdaughters; Jaqueline Hughes (Richardo) Hoskins and Flora Hughes both of Ruleville, MS; a godson, Barry davis; fifteen (15) siblings, Rosie Lee Quinn of Cleveland, MS; Jerry Conway, Josephine Scott, Katherine Minton, Shirley Conway, Viola (Roy) Carr, Alice Scott, Sophronia Carr, Annette Ratliff, Delois Shipp, Vanessa (Mike) Hoskins, Willie Earl Conway, Albert (Willie) Conway, Walter (Rose) Brown, Ervin (Sandra) Thomas; (31) grandchildren, (3) great grandchildren, her aunt Bernice Robinson of Jackson, MS, a special nephew, Thomas Ivy of Chidester, AR; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
