Anna(Smart) McCullough was born January 2, 1932 in Benoit, MS.  Anna was the third child of four children whom all preceded her in death.

Mrs. Anna McCullough confessed a hope in Christ as a child, she joined Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend B.C. Clady.  The helm was then turned over to the late Reverend Ivory J. James who was her pastor for forty nine years.  The last seven years, Mrs. Anna McCullough was under the leadership of Reverend Ronald Coleman, where she served faithfully until her demise.

Anna was united in holy matrimony to the late J.C. McCullough.  She worked as a day laborer, carrying people to the cotton field, she also worked for Alabama Metal Products.  During her later years, she was employed with Mississippi State University as a social aide worker.
