Almedia L.
Little
Sep 7, 1960 — Jun 7, 2022
Cleveland
Almedia Lillian Todd Little was the last of five children born to the union of Rosie Lee Isler Todd and Nathaniel Todd, Sr. on September 27, 1960 in Cleveland, MS.
At an early age, Almedia accepted Christ and was baptized at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Pace, MS. She actively participated in the junior choir. She later moved back to Cleveland and joined the Old Saint Phillip Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverent C. H. Grainger where she joined the Nurses' Aide auxiliary. She remained a faithful member under the leadership of Reverend Benjamin Curry until her health failed.
Almedia began her educational journey in head start and elementary school at Pace Attendance Center in Pace, MS. She attended junior high at West Bolivar Junior High and high school at Rosedale High where she graduated in the class of 1978. In high school, she was a member of the school choir and marching band where she played the clarinet. She attended Coahoma Community College for one year and transferred to Delta State University, completing her junior year of college where she majored in Business Administration. She entered the workforce as a teacher's assistant at B.L. Bell and H. M. Nailor Elementary School in the Cleveland School District.
Almedia was talented, creative and an artistic designer of fashion. She was able to sketch her designs, and as a highly skilled seamstress, she could sew them. She was also a soulful singer and dancer. In other works, she was a jack of all trades and a master of many of them. She was quiet and reserve, but she could be an explosive firecracker if rubbed the wrong way.
Almedia united in holy matrimony to Lindell Little in 1988. To this union, a son Lindell O'Marcus Little was born.
Almedia was preceded in death by her husband, Lindell Little, Sr., parents, Rosie and Nathaniel Todd, one brother, Nathaniel Todd, Jr. and one sister, Ardie B. Todd.
Almedia leaves to cherish her memories, her devoted son, Lindell O'marcus Little of Cleveland, MS., one brother; Willie N. Todd(Helen) of Cleveland, MS, three sisters; Tommie E. Todd, Edneatha T. White, Deborah Gibbs (Percy) all of Cleveland, MS, one step son; Lykell (Jessica) Walker of Memphis, TN, four sisters in law; Lacy Little of New Orleans, LA, Sheila Little of Newark, NJ, Dr. Janice Little and Kimberly Spears of Houston, TX; four brothers in law; Joseph Wilder of Chicago, IL, Reneal Little of Cleveland, MS, Allan Little and Dr. Kedrick Little of Houston, TX; one aunt in law, Tommie M.
