Obituary

Allyscia Chinetta Clerk-Beamon Johnson, affectionately called Pooh, was born on October 9, 1986 in Greenville, MS to Josephine Clerk and the late John F. Beamon, Sr.  She is the oldest child and only daughter of Josephine and John.  She has two brothers that were extremely blessed to have shared her life as siblings:  the oldest, Shelton Clerk and the youngest Johnathan Clerk-Beamon who have lived their lives always reminded that she was the ONLY GIRL.  This meant she could always have her way.

Allyscia confessed her hope and love of Christ at a very young age and was  baptized at Macedonia Baptist Church in Boyle, MS under Rev. W.E. Tinson and continued to serve there until her move to Texas in 2013.

Allyscia started her academic road of success in Mound Bayou, MS at St. Gabriel Catholic School matriculating to Hayes-Cooper, Margaret Green Junior High, and East Side High School where she graduated with Honors in the Class of 2005.  She went on to complete her  Associate in Arts at Coahoma Community College in 2008 and her Bachelor of Science Degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Delta State University in 2011.  Allyscia secured her first job in education as a Speech Pathologist with the Sunflower County School District, Ruleville, MS.  Pooh quickly realized that greater opportunities awaited and decided to relocate to Houston, TX.  The summer of 2013, Pooh went to stay with friends, Jatata and Raven Hutton, who were pivotal in her transition to Houston.

After being there for only a week, she received a teaching contract with North Shore High School in the Galena Park ISD as a Career and Technical Education Teacher.  During her time at North Shore, Pooh continued her pursuit of academic excellence by obtaining a Master of Science degree in Special Education (2013-2015) from Walden University.  Although her experience with the students were enjoyable, Pooh determined that she wanted to do administrative work only which would allow her also to manage a more flexible schedule for newborn son, Micah ( born October of 2015).  So, she decided to get a second Masters of Education Degree in Exceptionality, Educational Diagnostician from the University of St. Thomas, Houston, TX (2019-2021).  She would finish her professional career working with the Sheldon ISD as a Diagnostician, Continuing to be optimistic, Allyscia enrolled in a doctoral program in 2024 with Strayer University.

Allyscia was the proud mother of Micah Asar Johnson fathered by Darius "Bucket" Johnson of whom was married to Pooh for 10 years.  Pooh leaves her loving mother, Josephine Clerk, Cleveland, MS, her siblings on her mother's side:  Shelton Clerk, Richmond, TX, Sister in Love, Tracy Clerk, Missouri City, Johnathan Clerk-Beamon, Memphis, TN, 2 nieces she called her first kids:  Jasmynne Clerk and Jada Clerk of Missouri City, TX.  Siblings on her father's side:  John Beamon, Jr. of Indianola, MS, Carla Thomas of Severn, MD, Raceda Beamon of Renova, MS, Tonya Beamon of Cleveland, MS and Justin Beamon of Renova, MS.  She also leaves sisterly friends, Kerri Coleman of Cleveland, MS and Barbara Myers of Missouri City, TX, along with a host of family and friends including her favorite, the Class of 2005 of East Side High School.
