Albert Gibson was born October 29, 1955 in Sunflower County to the late Mattie Mae Powell and John Gibson. Albert was baptized at an early age and joined the New Providence M.B. Church in Sunflower, MS. He later joined Rose Hill M.B. Church in Renova, MS under the leadership of Rev. J.W. Hill. He graduated Class of 1974 from Ruleville Central High School in Ruleville, MS. Upon completion of graduation he joined the Airforce of the United States of America. He traveled overseas and later settled in Alexandria, LA. In 2005, he returned back to his hometown of Sunflower, MS and made it his home again. The Curtains of Life closed for him on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at Bolivar County Medical Center.
